Job summary

NZL GPC Asia Pacific New Zealand Pty Ltd in Auckland seeks an experienced Distribution Centre Manager to lead our Auckland DC, driving safe, efficient operations and a high-performing team.

You will champion safety, oversee inventory control and labour planning, and partner with internal stakeholders to meet service and financial targets. This hands-on role offers growth within a global supply chain environment.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience in a distribution centre, warehouse, logistics or supply chain.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver results against safety, service, productivity, KPI and financial targets.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety practices, with a genuine commitment to creating a safe workplace.
  • Experience in inventory management, warehouse systems, labour planning and volume forecasting.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities and implement practical solutions.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance customer, operational and cost requirements.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder-management and relationship-building skills, with a collaborative and accountable leadership style.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the Distribution Centre, ensuring performance targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
  • Champion a proactive health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Lead, coach and develop the DC leadership team and team members to build capability and performance.
  • Monitor and improve operational performance across safety, service, cost, quality and productivity measures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance warehouse processes, customer service and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure effective labour planning, volume forecasting and resource allocation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control and safeguard the security and integrity of site stock, facilities and assets.
  • Oversee site administration and ensure data is accurate, timely and fit for purpose.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, suppliers and freight and transport teams to resolve operational issues and maximise outcomes.
  • Lead regular safety meetings, investigate incidents and proactively address risks and hazards.

With automated picking and replenishment, energy-efficient systems and a strong focus on innovation, it offers an exciting opportunity to lead in a next-generation distribution environment.

We’re looking for an experienced Distribution Centre Manager to lead our Auckland Distribution Centre. This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering safe, efficient and customer-focused warehouse operations. You’ll lead and develop a high-performing team, drive continuous improvement and ensure the site consistently meets service, quality, productivity and financial targets. You will be a visible, hands-on leader who creates a positive team culture, champions safety and builds strong relationships across the wider business and transport partners.

Key Responsibilities
