Job summary

Pure Distilling in Henderson, Auckland area is seeking a Production & Dispatch Assistant to join a small, friendly team. The role covers production, dispatch, customer service and warehouse coordination with daily tasks to ensure orders ship on time.

You will work closely with Production and Dispatch Managers and the Australian team, receiving full training. This is a full-time permanent position based Monday to Friday, offering a supportive team and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience in production, warehouse or manufacturing environments.
• Experience in food preparation or food manufacturing (preferred).
• Experience operating production or packaging machinery (advantage, training provided).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Production: bottling, filling and packaging; labelling finished products; assist supervisor; maintain clean, safe workspace.
• Dispatch & Warehouse: pick, pack, invoice and dispatch orders; manage Goods Inwards; maintain stock levels; coordinate with Australian warehouse.
• Customer Service & Administration: provide excellent customer service; maintain website stock and pricing; assist with newsletter and price lists.

Are you reliable, organised and enjoy a role with plenty of variety? We are looking for an enthusiastic Production & Dispatch Assistant to join our friendly, small team based in Henderson.

About the role

This is a varied hands-on role combining production, dispatch, customer service and warehouse coordination. You'll work closely with our Production Manager, Dispatch Manager and our Australian team to ensure our customers receive outstanding service and orders are dispatched accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities Production

• Assisting with the bottling, filling and packaging of our accessory range
• Labelling and quality checking finished products
• Assisting the Production Supervisor when required
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment

Key responsibilities Dispatch & Warehouse

• Picking, packing, invoicing and dispatching customer orders, with the goal of dispatching orders by the next business day (or sooner where possible)
• Managing the Goods Inwards process
• Organising the warehouse to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Maintaining accurate stock levels
• Liaising with the Production Manager regarding manufactured stock requirements, bulk orders, promotions and stock transfers
• Coordinating stock transfers with our Australian warehouse

Key responsibilities Customer Service & Administration

• Providing excellent customer service and support
• Maintaining website stock availability and pricing
• Assisting with the creation and distribution of our monthly newsletter
• Maintaining internal price lists, contact lists and document control systems

About you

• A positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Great attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience working in a production, warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Experience in food preparation or food manufacturing (preferred)
• Experience operating production or packaging machinery (an advantage, although full training will be provided)
• Experience working within a small team
• Confidence using computers and learning new systems
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• A reasonable level of fitness, as the role involves standing, lifting and repetitive tasks
• Forklift license an advantage
