Job summary

Presbyterian Support East Coast (PSEC) is seeking enthusiastic Support Workers for its disability support services in Havelock North, Hawke's Bay. The role involves providing personal care, daily living support, and community participation to residents in their homes, with training and career development opportunities.

Experience in disability support is valued; a Health and Wellbeing qualification is preferred or candidates willing to work toward it.

Qualifications

• Patience and compassion to support people with disabilities.
• Team player who collaborates with flatmates, whanau, and staff.
• Willingness to undertake training and progress to Level 4 Health and Wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver support in line with each person's individualised care plan.
• Assist with personal care and administration of medicines.
• Able to use a hoist safely and assist with mobility needs.
• Travel for out-of-town meetings or activities as required.
• Assist with household tasks including cleaning and cooking.
• Maintain accurate records of the support provided and communicate with the team.
