Job summary

New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) seeks a Digital Workforce Manager to lead the governance, management and continuous improvement of the Digital resourcing and workforce operations services. You will develop and lead a strategic workforce plan, assess capability, identify gaps and build plans to strengthen skills for the future.

You will partner across Digital Leadership, Corporate functions and with vendors to ensure value for money and robust workforce information.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and implementing workforce strategies and plans.
• Experience in workforce modelling and forecasting future needs in a Digital context.
• Experience assessing current workforce capability, identifying gaps and developing plans.
• Strong workforce data and analytical capability, with the ability to translate insights into practical recommendations.
• Experience in workforce planning, resource management, recruitment, contractor management or workforce operations.
• Strong commercial awareness, including workforce costs, utilisation and value for money.
• Experience managing contingent workforce processes and governance/compliance.
• Strong relationship and influencing skills across functions.
• A practical approach to improving workforce processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead workforce strategy and planning initiatives aligned with priorities.
• Deliver workforce reporting, insights and analysis for leadership decisions.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities and recommend improvements.
• Partner with Chapter Leads to ensure internal capability meets needs.
• Lead end-to-end contingent workforce lifecycle.
• Oversee contractor and consultant engagements with governance and controls.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Commercial, Procurement and suppliers.
• Monitor engagement end dates, tenure, extensions and costs.
• Strengthen workforce processes, approvals and records, and support planning/budgeting.
