Job summary

NZTA | Waka Kotahi is seeking a Digital Workforce Manager to lead governance, planning and continuous improvement of the Digital resourcing function. You will develop strategic workforce plans, assess capability, identify gaps and partner across Digital and external providers to secure the right skills for delivery.

You will oversee end-to-end resourcing, drive governance and ensure value for money while maintaining strong workforce information and an engaging experience for our people.

Responsibilities

• Lead workforce strategy and planning initiatives aligned to priorities and long-term objectives.
• Deliver meaningful workforce reporting and insights to support leadership decisions.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities and propose practical improvements.
• Partner with Chapter Leads to ensure internal capability fits current and future needs.
• Oversee end-to-end contingent workforce lifecycle and governance.
• Manage contractor engagements with strong governance and compliance.
• Coordinate with Talent Acquisition, Commercial and Procurement for access to digital capability.
• Monitor engagement end dates, tenure, extensions, risks, costs and utilisation.
• Strengthen workforce processes and maintain accurate approvals and records.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with reliable information.
