Job summary

The Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) invites applications for the Digital Systems and Services Librarian. In this role you will enhance digital services, support learning, teaching, and student success, and promote engagement with library resources.

You'll improve library systems, deliver training to boost digital literacy, collaborate with staff and vendors, and monitor data to improve user experience. The position offers hybrid work options and a supportive, city-centre campus.

Bring together technology, learning, and people in a role that makes a real difference. As our Digital Systems and Services Librarian, you'll help enhance digital services, promote engagement with library resources, and support the ongoing growth and success of the Library.

We are open to this position being full-time or part-time for the right person.

The key responsibilities for the role are:

  • Improve and maintain library systems, digital resources, and online services.
  • Contribute to projects that strengthen learning, teaching, research, and student success.
  • Deliver training that builds digital literacy and increases resource use.
  • Collaborate with staff, vendors, and stakeholders to enhance library services.
  • Monitor performance data and identify opportunities to improve user experience.

To be successful in this role you will need:
