Job summary

University of Otago is seeking a Systems Specialist to support our Digital Learning environment and administration of the LMS and teaching tools. The role involves delivering outcomes across our core learning platforms and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure client success.

The position is permanent, full-time, based on the Ōtepoti/Dunedin Campus. You will work in a fast-paced team, translate requirements into tracked changes, and drive continuous improvement in learning technology.

Te mahi | The role

If you are passionate about digital learning and are seeking an opportunity to make a difference, why not bring your skills to our Digital Learning team in this Systems Specialist role. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for digital technology in a learning context and will be able to understand systems and pickup systems administration skills quickly for new technology.

Our systems specialists work in small nimble teams working across a range of systems in each of our product portfolios. We currently have a vacancy in our Digital Learning Environment Value Stream.

• Provide technical support for systems, including troubleshooting issues, resolving problems, and working closely with our clients.
• Be responsible for maintaining and administering systems within your portfolio to ensure optimal performance and successful client outcomes.
• Collaborate with our clients to help them achieve their objectives and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

You will have a good information systems background, a proactive mindset, the ability to work independently, and the capacity to adapt to changing technology and business requirements.

We’re looking for someone with experience in systems administration and management who can:

This is a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) position, located on the Ōtepoti/Dunedin Campus.

The appointment range is $85,057 to $92,174 per annum. Top of the range is $97,508.
