EMD Agency Limited is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist to manage day-to-day client advertising across Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and related platforms from our Auckland base. The role focuses on hands-on delivery, campaign setup, optimization, tracking, and reporting to clients.
You'll work closely with the Content Manager and other team members; own budgets, run testing, and ensure campaigns deliver measurable results. This is a delivery role with a focus on execution and performance.
The Digital Marketing Specialist runs EMD Agency’s client advertising day to day. The core of the role is hands‑on delivery. Plan, build and optimise paid digital advertising across Google Ads, Meta and other platforms, then track what it does and report what it means to the client.
This is a delivery role, not a strategy‑only role. The Specialist is measured on the performance of the campaigns and accounts they run, the quality of the work that goes out, and the consistency with which client activity is delivered on time each month.
Content production sits with our Content Manager, a separate part‑time role. Both roles report to Chris and neither runs the other. The Specialist briefs the creative, quality‑checks what comes back, and owns every decision to spend client money. If client budget is moving, this is the role that moves it.

Self‑management
Own the day-to-day management of client advertising accounts across all active platforms. Plan, build, launch, and optimise campaigns in Google Ads and Meta Ads Manager.
Tracking, measurement, and reporting
Implement and maintain conversion tracking across Google Ads conversion actions, GA4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel and Conversions API, and other platform tags.
Budget management and pacing
Own the spend. Track monthly budget against plan across every account, pace it through the month, and flag over‑delivery or under‑delivery before it becomes a client conversation. Every decision to commit client money belongs to this role and to no one else.
Testing and iteration
Run structured testing across audiences, bids, placements and creative. The creative itself is briefed out to the Content Manager. The Specialist writes the brief, sets what is being tested, and calls the result.
Client reporting, and the conversation that goes with it
Own the monthly reporting cadence. Interpret the numbers, explain the result to the client in plain language, and recommend what happens next. Reporting windows are New Zealand time.
Landing pages and conversion paths
Have a view on what the traffic lands on and whether that page converts. The Specialist specifies the change and the case for it. Someone else writes and builds it.
Search and measurement analysis
Search Console, GA4 and keyword and landing page performance analysis. Work out which pages and terms are earning attention, which are not, and what should change as a result.
01
Work from home, self‑managed hours, and a schedule that fits around your life rather than a clock. We care that clients are looked after and the work is good, not that you were visible between 9 and 5.
02
Agency work has a reputation for burning people out. We deliberately don’t run that way. Client hours are tracked and planned so the month is realistic before it starts.
03
Our client list runs from residential construction and insulation manufacturing through to health services, education, wellness, and not‑for‑profits. Big agencies pigeonhole specialists into one channel for years. Here you stay sharp across the whole discipline.
04
No six layers of account management between you and the work. You’ll own accounts, talk to clients directly, make the calls, and see the results of your own decisions.
05
We’re actively building AI into how the agency works, automation, AI chat and front‑of‑house agents, AI‑assisted production. You’ll be expected to use these tools in real client work, not quietly told not to. If you want to be at the front of where this discipline is going rather than defending it, this is the right place.
06
This industry changes monthly, and we back people who want to stay ahead of it. You’ll have time and encouragement to keep your skills current including completing certifications, platform training, researching new tools.
