Job summary

Glass New Zealand Limited in Christchurch is looking for a reliable Class 4 Driver to join our delivery team. You will be responsible for safe, timely delivery of our glass products to multiple customer sites across Christchurch, with early start typically 6.00am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday.

We offer full-time hours with competitive wages based on experience and a supportive team environment. You will handle loading/unloading, ensure products are secured, and maintain professional customer

Qualifications

• Current Class 4 Licence with at least 2 years experience.
• Forklift license with F endorsement advantageous.
• Significant commercial driving experience, preferably with route optimisation.
• Experience handling loads, including high-end or fragile products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver complete manifested loads safely and on time, obeying road laws and regulations.
• Safely load and unload vehicles and secure products for transit.
• Represent the company with professional driving, presentation and customer interactions.
• Provide friendly, respectful and professional service to customers at all times.
• Support factory operations with general production, handling and operational tasks as needed.

The opportunity!

We currently have a Class 4 Driver opportunity. In this role you’ll be responsible for the safe, careful and efficient delivery of our products to our valued clients across Christchurch. Christchurch based with runs to multiple customer sites each day. Hours: 6.00am - 2.30pm, Monday - Friday.

What you're there to do:

• Deliver complete manifested loads safely, efficiently and within required timeframes, while complying with all relevant road laws and regulations
• Safely load and unload vehicles, ensuring products are handled and secured appropriately
• Represent the company professionally through safe and responsible driving, professional presentation and positive customer interactions
• Provide friendly, respectful and professional service to customers at all times
• Support factory operations as required, assisting with general production, handling and operational tasks when needed

Skills & experience you'll bring:

• A strong and practice commitment to health and safety
• Significant commercial driving experience - preferably using multi transport platforms in a FCMG or Logistics environment along with an understanding of route optimisation
• Strong experience in load handling, loading, unloading and load planning, preferably with high end or fragile products including a strong understanding of pack/load restraint practices
• Physically able to perform a high number of glass lifts on a daily basis
• Current Class 4 Licence (2 years minimum experience). Class 5 is advantageous
• Forkhoist license - F endorsement is advantageous
