Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking an experienced Class 5 Driver for a Monday–Friday shift based in Wigram, Christchurch. You will deliver glass products to Dunedin, then return to Wigram, with involvement in loading, unloading and securing loads.

The role emphasizes safe driving, load handling, and customer service in a busy logistics environment. Night shift hours apply, with pay based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Class 5 licence with at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Forklift/Hiab licence is advantageous; overhead crane licence desirable.
• Experience in logistics, FMCG or similar environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver scheduled loads to Dunedin and return to Wigram, Christchurch.
• Load, unload and handle glass products; secure loads.
• Provide professional customer service and maintain safe handling of fragile goods.
• Plan routes and manage time to meet schedules.
• Represent the business positively through driving and presentation.

This role follows a consistent daily route: you will deliver to Dunedin each day and return to Christchurch (Wigram) afterwards, forming a regular and structured long-haul run.

Are you an experienced Class 5 driver looking for a Monday–Friday role with plenty of variety?

We’re looking for a reliable and professional Class 5 Driver to join a busy operation in Wigram, Christchurch, delivering glass products to customersin Dunedin, then driving back to Wigram.

This is more than just a driving role. You’ll be involved in the full delivery process, including loading and unloading product, securing loads and working directly with customers.

What’s involved?

• Safely deliver scheduled loads while following all road and transport requirements
• Load, unload and handle glass products, including regular manual lifting
• Ensure loads are correctly planned, secured and transported
• Work with customers in a professional and friendly manner
• Represent the business positively through your driving, presentation and customer service
• Follow safe handling practices when working with fragile and high-value products

What are we looking for? You’ll ideally bring:

A forklift or Hiab licence would be an advantage, while an overhead crane licence is desirable.

• A Class 5 licence with at least 2 years’ driving experience
• Solid commercial driving experience, ideally in logistics, FMCG or a similar environment
• Experience with load planning, restraint and safe handling of freight
• Good route planning and time-management skills
• The physical capability to carry out frequent glass lifts throughout the day
• A strong customer service focus and professional approach
• A reliable attitude and commitment to working safely
