Job summary

Trade Assist is seeking reliable Class 4 Drivers for opportunities across Christchurch and the wider Canterbury area. The role offers Monday–Friday work with pay based on experience.

You will perform local deliveries, load/unload and handle paperwork using handheld devices, while maintaining safety and professionalism on every shift. Ideal candidates are physically fit, safety-focused and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Current Class 4 NZ Driver Licence.
• Previous commercial driving experience.
• Good knowledge of Christchurch and Canterbury roads.
• Strong focus on safety and reliability.
• Reliable and punctual work ethic.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Physically fit and able to lift and handle goods.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 4 vehicle.

At Trade Assist, we're currently looking for reliable and experienced Class 4 Drivers to join our clients across Christchurch and the wider Canterbury area.

These are great opportunities for drivers looking for consistent Monday-to-Friday work, with competitive pay based on experience. You'll be working in a hands-on driving role where some lifting and manual handling is involved, so we're looking for people who are physically fit, reliable and comfortable getting involved beyond just driving.

What You'll Be Doing

• Safely operating a Class 4 vehicle
• Completing local deliveries and collections across Christchurch and Canterbury
• Loading and unloading goods
• Securing loads and ensuring goods are transported safely
• Completing delivery paperwork and using handheld devices where required
• Carrying out basic vehicle safety checks
• Providing professional customer service
• Following all Health & Safety and road transport requirements
• Assisting with manual handling and general duties as required

What We're Looking For
