Downer’s Energy & Utilities team in Hamilton is seeking a designer/estimator to help bring electricity network projects to life. You’ll be based in our Hamilton office, preparing designs and estimates, supporting project delivery and building strong customer relationships from concept through to completion.

You’ll join a collaborative team that values practical thinking and continuous learning, with opportunities to develop technical skills in the electricity sector.

Qualifications

• Experience in design, estimating, engineering support or a similar technical environment.
• Strong attention to detail and confidence working with technical information.
• Sound computer skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with others.
• Electrical distribution knowledge is helpful but not essential.

Responsabilités

• Creating quality engineering designs, estimates, quotations and as-built information.
• Supporting the delivery of electricity network projects through accurate planning, costing and documentation.
• Working closely with customers, contractors and internal teams to achieve great project outcomes.
• Preparing project invoices and helping ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Contributing ideas and improvements that strengthen our design and estimating capability.
