Responsibilities

• Manage projects to specification, within budget and within agreed timeframes.
• Ensure resources are effectively coordinated to project plan.
• Facilitate timely and accurate invoicing.
• Ensure customer documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide quality engineering, design and estimation services, quotations and as-built information to the client.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on project expenditure and revenues so as to pro-actively control profitable outcomes on all projects. Escalate any issues that may impact on deliverables.
• Lead project completion reviews.
• Conduct quality audits of work to ensure compliance with contract documents, design & construction standards, legislation, regulations and network operation standards

The opportunity

Downer is looking for a driven and positive Project Manager to join a tier one contract for Powerco in Coromandel, New Zealand. As the Project Manger you will have a diverse portfolio of projects to manage ranging in complexity and value. In this role you will be required to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that your working week is diverse and interesting where no two days are the same. At its core, the role is managing the financial performance of the projects, addressing issues that arise, ensuring that any variations to contracts are captured and keeping our customers informed and up to date on progress. The focus is to consistently deliver to a high standard and on time.

What you’ll do
