Job summary

Downer is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Hamilton electricity team, supporting project delivery across the Vector network. You will manage projects from planning to completion, coordinating resources and keeping safety, budget, and timelines at the forefront.

You will build trusted relationships with Vector and delivery partners while monitoring performance, reporting, and ensuring compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience, ideally within electricity, utilities or infrastructure.
• Practical knowledge of engineering design, construction and network operating standards.
• Strong commercial acumen, including project budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, contractors and delivery partners.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including experience with MS Project.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, organisation and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead electricity projects from planning and design through to construction and completion.

• Manage project budgets, expenditure, revenue, forecasting and timely invoicing.
• Build strong relationships with Vector, delivery teams, consultants and local authorities.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our Hamilton electricity team, supporting the delivery of projects across the Vector network.
You’ll manage assigned projects from planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, to specification, on time and within budget. You’ll coordinate resources, manage commercial performance and build trusted relationships with Vector and key delivery partners.
