InterContinental Wellington is seeking a Demi Chef to join our central waterfront kitchen team. You will prepare, cook and present dishes to our exacting standards while minimizing waste and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Collaboration with other departments is essential to deliver exceptional guest experiences. We value team players who stay calm during busy service, pay close attention to detail, and can adapt to flexible hours, including afternoons, evenings and public holidays.

Competenze

• 2+ years kitchen experience required.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Maintain composure during busy service periods.
• Strong eye for detail and urgency.

YourDay to Day

As Demi Chef, you'll have the ability to provide innovative, authentic and enriching culinary experiences to our guests. You'llbe responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting food in accordance with our portion and quality standards. You will also be required to control food usage to minimize waste, maintain a clean, safe and tidy work environment and communicate with staff in other departments.

What We Need From You

• A strong team player attitude
• A minimum of 2years kitchen experience
• You’ll need to keep calm during the pressures of service,
• An eye for detail & a strong sense of urgency
• Flexibility to work a range of hours, which includes but is not limited to afternoons, evenings & public holidays
