Job summary

SVDM LIMITED is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver to join our Levin team on a part-time basis. You will collect and deliver goods, plan routes efficiently, and maintain excellent customer service throughout every interaction.

The role requires a valid NZ driver’s licence with a clean record and the ability to work independently while following company policies. A vehicle is provided and fuel is covered by the company.

Qualifications

• A valid New Zealand driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving customer interaction and time management.
• Excellent knowledge of the Levin, Manawatu area, or willingness to quickly learn local roads and routes.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently.
• Professional communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.
• Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry goods of varying weights safely.

Responsibilities

• Collecting and delivering goods to customers within the Levin, Manawatu area in a timely and professional manner.
• Planning efficient delivery routes to maximise productivity and minimise fuel costs.
• Ensuring all deliveries are documented accurately, including obtaining customer signatures and recording delivery times.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and well-organised vehicle at all times.
• Performing basic vehicle maintenance checks and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
• Providing excellent customer service, addressing customer queries and handling complaints professionally.
• Following all traffic regulations and company safety procedures.
• Loading and unloading goods carefully, ensuring items are not damaged during transit.
• Communicating regularly with the office regarding delivery status and any issues encountered.
