Job summary

Jora New Zealand is seeking a reliable Assistant Driver in Auckland to support daily deliveries and collections. You will assist the driver, load and unload goods, check documents, secure items, and help with route planning while communicating professionally with customers and team members.

This full-time role requires physical fitness, punctuality, a positive work ethic and flexibility. Forklift and DG licenses are preferred, as is a valid NZ driver license.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to lift and move goods safely.
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to work flexible hours.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A valid New Zealand driver license would be advantageous.
• Forklift license and DG license will be preferred.
• 1 year experience preferred or Level 1 certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver with daily deliveries and collections.
• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
• Check goods against delivery documents.
• Help secure items properly during transportation.
• Provide directions and assist with route planning when required.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Keep the vehicle and loading area clean and tidy.
• Follow all workplace health and safety requirements.
• Perform other reasonable duties as required.
• Driving vehicle in compliance with road safety requirements.
