Job summary

ALI COURIERS LIMITED T/A HOBSONVILLE TYRES in Auckland is seeking a skilled Courier Driver to join our team. The role requires a reliable driver who takes pride in customer service and delivering goods safely, efficiently, and on time.

You will collect courier goods, deliver parcels within scheduled timeframes, load and unload vehicles, and maintain accurate delivery records. A clean Class 1 NZ driver licence and knowledge of Auckland roads are essential.

Qualifications

ALI COURIERS LIMITED T/A HOBSONVILLE TYRES is seeking a skilled and motivated THREE Courier Driver to join our team in Auckland . This role is ideal for a reliable and experienced Courier Driver who enjoys working in a fast-paced delivery environment and takes pride in providing excellent customer service while ensuring goods are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.

Position: Courier Driver
Hourly rate: $25-$30 per hour
Guaranteed hours: 30 per week
Maximum hours: 50 per week
Location: Auckland

Your duties will include:

• Collecting courier goods from suppliers and loading them safely into delivery vehicles.


• Delivering parcels, packages, and goods to customers within scheduled timeframes.


• Loading, unloading, preparing, inspecting, and operating delivery vehicles safely.


• Ensuring all goods are handled, stored, and transported in conditions that maintain their quality.


• Providing excellent customer service and assisting customers with delivery-related queries.


• Completing all required delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate delivery records.


• Planning delivery routes efficiently to meet customer expectations and deadlines.


• Inspecting vehicles and reporting any maintenance or safety issues promptly.


• Following workplace health and safety procedures and company policies.


• Ensuring compliance with transport regulations and safe driving practices.


• Maintaining a professional and positive attitude when dealing with customers and suppliers.


• Working collaboratively with the team and supporting daily courier operations.


• Following rostered hours and ensuring punctual attendance for all shifts.

Requirements:

• A clean and valid Class 1 New Zealand driver licence.

You will also have:

• Good knowledge of Auckland roads and delivery routes.


• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete delivery documentation accurately.


• Excellent communication and customer service skills.


• Ability to safely lift, load, and unload goods.


• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.


• A reliable, punctual, and responsible approach to work.


• Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and driver licence verification.


• A clear criminal record.


• Physically fit and able to safely lift, carry, and move weights of up to 25 kg as required for the role.


• Must be flexible and able to work split shifts, including varying working hours based on operational requirements.


• Willing and available to work weekends and public holidays when required.


• Able to accommodate early morning starts and late evening finishes as required by the business.


• Must demonstrate flexibility in working hours and availability to meet the operational needs of the business.
