Job summary

Visy Beverage Cans in Wiri, Auckland, is seeking a Decorator Operator for a full-time, permanent role.

You will operate and maintain the Can Decorator, driving productivity while upholding safety, quality and environmental standards in a highly automated plant.

The position offers a rotating 4 days on/off shift (2 day, 2 night) and a supportive team with opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Printing trade qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Offset printing knowledge is desirable.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Experience with rotating shift patterns and forklift license is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plant equipment to maximise productivity and produce within Manufacturing Specifications.
• Be conversant with all parts of the plant and process, leading troubleshooting when needed.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimise disruptions and improve efficiency.
• Complete designated projects for planned or ongoing maintenance issues.
• Maintain awareness of safety, quality and environmental standards.

About the opportunity:

As a Decorator Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining and operating the Can Decorator to produce high-quality product, maximise reliability, minimise downtime and support quality and safety standards.

Location: Visy Beverage Cans, Wiri Auckland

Shift: Permanent full-time position, working 4 days on and 4 days off on a rotating shift pattern (2-day shifts 7am to 7pm and 2-night shifts 7pm to 7am).

What you’ll do:

• Operation and Maintenance of plant equipment to deliver maximum productivity and efficiently produce a product within Manufacturing Specifications.
• Conversant with all parts of the Plant and process, taking a proactive and lead role in troubleshooting problems.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimise disruptions and improve efficiency.
• The completion of designated projects for planned or ongoing maintenance issues.
• Maintain awareness and commitment to employment and legislative responsibilities in relation to safety, quality and environmental standards.
