Job summary

Qualifications

  • Strong experience delivering and supporting manufacturing applications, automation solutions and plant-floor systems in a complex operational environment.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including production, quality, product traceability and warehouse operations.
  • Proven ability to analyse business processes, identify improvement opportunities and implement practical, value-driven solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise databases and integration solutions.

Role Details:

Based in Auckland and reporting to the MES Automation Lead, you'll play a key role in developing the systems that support Visy's factory automation and data capture capabilities. Working closely with Operations, Quality and IT teams, you'll design, build and optimise database-driven solutions that improve manufacturing performance and support Visy's ongoing digital transformation.

What you'll do:
  • Support and optimise critical manufacturing databases and MES applications that keep Visy's operations running efficiently.
  • Design, develop and enhance backend solutions, including databases, stored procedures and integration scripts.

  • Experience developing middleware and integration solutions using scripting languages such as Python, PERL, PHP and Shell scripting.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across Operations, Quality and IT teams.
  • Build and enhance critical manufacturing systems used across Visy's Australia and New Zealand operations.
