DB Breweries in Timaru seeks a detail-focused Packaging Technician to ensure beer, cider, and RTDs leave the line at the right quality, every time. This hands-on role sits in the Packaging team, rewarding accuracy, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Required 3-5 years in packaging or maintenance, with experience using maintenance systems and continuous improvement practices. The role offers a full-time schedule in a brewing setting and opportunities to grow within the HEINEKEN

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in packaging or maintenance in brewing, FMCG, or food and beverage environments.
• Experience using maintenance systems and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and improve packaging machinery to meet production targets
• Make sure products meet our quality and safety standards
• Take part in TPM Continuous Improvement programme, using tools such as 5S and Kaizen to improve performance and reduce losses
• Carry out reactive and preventive maintenance tasks on time
• Work closely with planning, maintenance, and logistics teams to keep operations running smoothly
• Follow and update Standard Operating Procedures and support team training
• Be flexible and move across different areas as needed

About The Role

  • Completing required training online
  • Using basic systems to record data or raise issues
