Job summary
Reboot Monkey seeks a Data Center Technician to support world-class data center facilities in Auckland, New Zealand. This full-time, on-site role covers installation, configuration, and maintenance of server and network equipment, with emphasis on structured cabling and environmental monitoring.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years in data center operations, strong troubleshooting and documentation skills, and is prepared for on-call rotation.
Qualifications
- 3+ years data center operations experience.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding environments.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- On-site role in Auckland, NZ.
- Vendor certifications (Dell, HPE, Cisco) preferred.
- DCIM platforms familiarity preferred.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
- Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
- Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
- Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
- Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
- Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
- Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
