Job summary

Reboot Monkey in Nelson City, New Zealand is seeking a seasoned Data Center Technician to install, configure, and maintain server and network infrastructure in our on-site data centers. This full-time role requires hands-on operation, strong fault diagnosis, and documentation discipline.

You will work with engineering and operations teams, participate in capacity planning, and ensure uptime through cabling, power, cooling and security monitoring.

Qualifications

3+ years of data center operations experience.
Strong fault diagnosis and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent documentation and communication abilities.
Experience with on-site server and network equipment.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment
Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)
Execute hardware deployments and decommissions
Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security)
Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting
Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams
Participate in capacity planning and upgrades
