Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our Manukau City facility. This full-time, on-site role supports critical data center infrastructure, installs and maintains server and network gear, and ensures reliability of power, cooling, and security systems.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in data center operations, strong cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2),and relevant vendor certifications. On-call rotations and shift differentials may apply.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data center operations experience required.
• Strong server, network, and cabling knowledge.
• Ability to install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
