Job summary

Hato Hone St John is seeking a Security Operations Manager to lead and mature our cyber security operations. You will drive incident response, vulnerability management, monitoring and governance, while building strong relationships with vendors and SOC partners to protect our information and services.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cyber security leadership or management.
• Strong knowledge of security operations, incident response and resilience.
• Experience with recognised frameworks and standards (e.g., NZISM, NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience supporting security audits, assurance activities and governance.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience leading technical teams and shaping security culture.
• Risk-based approach to security and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day cyber security function and security team.
• Oversee security operations, incident response, vulnerability management and monitoring.
• Drive governance, risk, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Build relationships with security vendors and SOC partners.
• Provide security leadership across technology projects and cloud platforms.
• Promote positive security culture through education and engagement.
• Lead security reporting, metrics and performance management.
• Contribute to the cyber security strategy and roadmap.
