Job summary

NZ Post is hiring a Fixed Term Customer Service Representative in Wiri, Auckland. You will deliver excellent service at front counters and by phone, promote our products and services, and assist with parcel shipments across New Zealand and the world.

Some heavy lifting and data entry are part of the role. The position runs from 13 November 2026 to 31 December 2027, Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm, at the Wiri location.

Qualifications

• Availability to work Monday to Friday 6am – 2:30pm.
• Full driver's license and reliable transport to cover all three locations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on the fly.
• Administration and data-entry skills.
• Confident interaction with people face to face, by phone and email.

Responsibilities

• Deliver customer service at front counters and over the phone.
• Champion NZ Post products and services such as bill payment and NZTA transactions.
• Assist with sending parcels across New Zealand and internationally.
• Process mail, scan freight and small packages; some heavy lifting required.
• Support during peak delivery periods and cover illness or extended leave as needed.

Our Customer Service Representatives deliver an exceptional level of service to manage inquiries, requests or concerns from customers at our front counters and by phone. You’ll champion our products and services, such as bill payment, NZTA transactions and assist with sending parcels across New Zealand and the world. As an NZ Post expert, you’ll provide suggestions and access information for our customers. You’ll process mail, scan freight and small packages from our couriers, so some heavy lifting will be required. Each day is busy and varied and will see you developing your problem-solving skills. We’re a lively bunch, with a diverse set of skills, but we all share one common goal - to contribute to contribute to the growth and prosperity of our beautiful Aotearoa.

Our On Call Customer Service Representatives are an essential part of our business as we call on them to assist us as and when required. You might be called in to cover illness, extended leave or help us our during our peak delivery periods. It’s a great way to balance work and lifestyle!
