RPC Logistics Mangere Bridge is seeking a proactive customer service advocate to join our team. You’ll be the voice of our operation, handling orders, bookings, ETAs and exceptions—keeping the promise we make to customers on the ground.
You’ll work closely with warehouse, dispatch and driver teams, own inquiries end-to-end, chase issues, maintain data accuracy and produce timely PODs and reports. We value fast responders, thoroughness, calm under pressure and genuine care for customers.
RPC Logistics — Mangere Bridge, Auckland | Full-time, permanent
RPC Logistics is a family-owned New Zealand transport and 3PL business. We warehouse, pick, pack and deliver for some of the country's best-known food, beverage and consumer brands — across Auckland metro, nationwide, and by sea.
We're not a faceless multinational. We're a tight team who know each other's names, back each other up, and take real pride in getting it right for our customers. We're also growing — and our customer service team is growing with us.
This is a new position, created because we're expanding our customer service resource and building out the team around it.
You'll be the voice of RPC for a portfolio of customers — the person they call, the person who has the answer, and the person who makes sure the promise we made actually happens on the ground.
Day to day you'll be:
Owning customer enquiries end to end — orders, bookings, ETAs, exceptions, the lot
Processing and checking orders in our warehouse and transport management systems, keeping data clean and accurate
Working shoulder to shoulder with our warehouse, dispatch and driver teams to keep freight moving
Chasing down issues before the customer has to chase you — proactive updates, not excuses
Keeping records, PODs and reporting tight and on time
Spotting the things that keep going wrong and helping us fix them properly
We're less fussed about your CV and more interested in how you operate. The people who thrive here:
Respond fast. You don't let things sit. A customer email at 9:04am has a reply well before lunch.
Are thorough. You check the detail, close the loop, and don't leave loose ends for someone else to trip over.
Move with pace and excellence. Quick isn't the same as rushed. You do it fast and you do it properly.
Genuinely care. You take it personally when a customer is let down, and you take it personally when we nail it.
You’ll also bring:
Solid customer service experience — phone, email and in person
Confidence with systems — you pick up new software quickly and have a good eye for data accuracy
Calm under pressure, and comfortable juggling a busy day with a lot of moving parts
Clear, warm communication — with customers and with your own team
The ability to work independently and back yourself
Nice to have (but not a dealbreaker):
Experience in transport, freight, 3PL, warehousing or FMCG
Exposure to a warehouse management system (WMS), transport management system (TMS), ERP or similar order-management platform
If you've got the attitude but not the industry background, apply anyway. We can teach freight. We can't teach giving a damn.
A team that's growing. This role sits at the front of a customer service function we're actively building out — get in now and grow with it.
Real ownership. You'll have your own customers and the autonomy to look after them properly.
Room to move. We're a business with genuine expansion plans, and we back people who put in the effort. If you want more responsibility, there's a path here.
You’ll be heard. Small enough that your ideas land on the right desk — big enough that they matter.
A proper team culture. Supportive, straight-talking, and quick to celebrate a good week.
Free parking on site, and a location that's easy to get to.
