Job summary

Avis Budget Group at Auckland Airport is seeking a friendly Vehicle Return Agent to greet customers and manage check-ins for returned rentals. The role is casual, with hours between 6 am and 8 pm, seven days a week.

Training is provided, and the location offers chances for internal movement in a large international company. As the first point of contact, you will inspect vehicles, input rental details on handheld devices, and assist customers with directions or travel information.

Qualifications

• Full, clean, valid Class 1 driver's licence is essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.
• Comfortable learning and using various computer systems to accurately input rental information.

Responsibilities

• Help expedite the rental car return process with exceptional customer service to get customers on their way as quickly as possible.
• Assess vehicle for any potential new damages and report it as per our vehicle damage procedure.
• Review returned vehicle gas levels and car kilometres while accurately inputting them into our hand-held devices when needed.

Our busy Auckland Airport location is looking for assistance with our operations. We are looking for what we call a Vehicle Return Agent to be our first point of contact to our customers!

Casual position available - working as an when needed but ideally has availability between 6 am to 8 pm

About the Role

You, as our Vehicle Return Agent will be responsible for ensuring that rental vehicles are returned in a timely and orderly manner, greeting our customers upon their arrival at our rental location and assisting with the check-in of the renter’s vehicle.

You will also conduct vehicle inspections and prepare the vehicle for the next rental. From time to time, you may also be responsible for providing assistance with directions and travel information, and for resolving customer complaints and issues.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Help expedite the rental car return process with exceptional customer services to get customers on their way as quickly as possible.

What we are looking for

We work 7-days a week, Monday to Sunday from 06.00 to 22.00, in this position we would look for you to work as and when needed during our operating hours which could include early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
