Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Greymouth, New Zealand, is seeking a Rental Operations Agent for a part-time role (20 hours per week). You will handle front and back of house tasks, including greeting customers, processing rental contracts, inspecting vehicles, driving, parking, and cleaning cars in the wash bay.

The roster covers 7 days a week, with one weekend day; full training provided; uniform and parking are supplied; wellbeing and employee discounts apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems.
• Ability to work a weekend day and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers at the counter and process rentals and bookings.
• Inspect vehicles for damages and maintenance, drive and park cars, and clean interiors/exteriors.

Best of both worlds where you are not just sitting behind a desk all day! Based at Greymouth Railway Station, we have a part-time position available for someone who has exceptional customer service skills and isn't afraid of hard work. We work 7 days per week from 8:00 am to 6.30 pm where we are looking for someone to work 20-hours per week. Shift will include one day per weekend so either a Saturday or Sunday of each week. About the Role

As what we call a Rental Operations Agent you will be involved in all aspects of our business! This varied role covers both our front and back of house operations. On the counter you will be interacting with our customers, marketing products and services, completing rental transactions, contracts, and bookings. On the other hand, you will be inspecting vehicles for damages and maintenance issues, driving, and parking our cars as well as cleaning vehicles (interior and exterior) in the wash bay so they are ready for our customers.

What we are looking for

• Full, clean, valid class 1 driver's licence is essential for this role.
• Previous experience within retail, hospitality, customer service or similar roles.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivery exceptional customer service.
• Comfortable learning and using various computer systems to accurately input rental information (training will be provided).
• Ability to follow procedures and adhere to company guidelines and standards.
