Job summary

PlaceMakers Whangarei is seeking an Operations Team Member for the Yard & Drive Thru to support daily customer service and stock control. You will assist customers with product advice, pick and pack orders, and help maintain a safe, efficient yard environment.

In this hands-on role you’ll operate a forklift, manage stock levels, load and unload vehicles, and work across our inventory systems. A strong team player with a safe work approach will flourish in this busy trade retail setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing, trade retail or warehouse roles.
• Physically fit with ability to lift 25 kg and perform manual handling tasks.
• Forklift experience with F endorsement is desirable.
• Safety-minded and reliable team player.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers face-to-face recommending suitable products.
• Pick, assemble and process orders, transactions and returns.
• Support Inwards goods by accurately checking and receipting deliveries.
• Load/unload customer vehicles, delivery vans and supplier trucks.
• Monitor inventory levels, perform cycle counts and stock replenishment.
• Maintain cleanliness and uphold safety standards in the store.
• Operate a forklift.
