Job summary

Original Foods, based in Wigram, Christchurch, seeks a motivated person to join our stores team in a hands-on role. You will input on initiatives to ensure smooth operation of the stores area and coordinate with transport to keep shipments moving as scheduled.

You will safely operate forklifts to load/unload, keep stock tidy, assemble outgoing orders, and assist with stock takes and inventory reports. Work closely with production to meet critical requirements and uphold health and safety

Qualifications

• Experience in a pick pack environment.
• OSH certification preferred.
• Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
• Able to work in a physically demanding role.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide input on initiatives to ensure smooth operation of stores area.
• Coordinate with transport to manage receiving shipments.
• Safely operate forklifts and reach trucks, load and unload trucks.
• Keep ingredients and packaging stores area tidy.
• Assemble and pack outgoing orders for timely dispatch.
• Assist with stock-takes and stock rotation and generate inventory reports.
• Collaborate with production to meet critical requirements.
• Actively comply with health and safety policies and procedures.
