Hands-on installation role with variety, autonomy and full training
A well-established New Zealand business is looking for a practical, reliable Installation Technician to join its Central Otago operation.
This is a mobile, hands-on role working across residential and commercial sites, completing the installation of custom interior products and related fittings. You'll manage your own day, work directly with customers, and take pride in delivering a high standard of finish.

Working across Central Otago, you'll be responsible for carrying out professional on-site installations while ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and to a high standard.
Your day could include:
Installing blinds, curtains, shutters and associated fittings
Taking accurate site measurements
Reading plans and working from installation specifications
Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
Troubleshooting installation issues on site
Liaising professionally with customers
Ensuring finished work meets quality and safety expectations
Previous experience installing window furnishings would be useful, but it is not essential.
We are equally interested in people coming from building, construction, property maintenance, cabinetry, joinery, glazing, flooring, kitchen installation or other practical trades.
You’ll ideally bring:
Strong practical and problem-solving skills
Confidence using hand and power tools
Good attention to detail
The ability to take accurate measurements
A professional approach when working in customers' homes or workplaces
The ability to work independently and manage your day
A clean, full New Zealand driver licence
Flexibility to travel within the region when required
Full product and installation training will be provided, so attitude, reliability and practical ability are just as important as direct industry experience.
