Job summary

Metlifecare Oakridge Villas in Kerikeri, Northland invites applications for an Activities Coordinator on a 3-month fixed-term contract. The role is 37.5 hours per week, Tue–Sat 9am–5pm, with pay rates from NZD 25.10 to 31.23 per hour depending on qualification.

You will plan and deliver an innovative activities program, support residents to engage in leisure activities, and maintain a therapeutic, safe environment under the Care Experience Manager.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, creative and outgoing with a genuine love for the elderly.
• Experience as Activities Coordinator or Diversional Therapist is preferred.
• Driver licence and first aid certificate are preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Planning and implementing an innovative activities program.
• Liaising with families and staff to participate in leisure activities.
• Assisting residents to participate in organized activities.
• Establishing and maintaining a therapeutic environment.
• Ensuring the health and safety of residents.
