Job summary

Oceania Group is seeking an Activities Assistant for Meadowbank Village in Meadowbank, Auckland. The role can be full-time or part-time and involves collaborating with the Diversional Therapist to design and run engaging activities for residents, while supporting their participation and safety.

Applicants should have experience in coordinating activities, excellent communication and IT skills, empathy for the elderly, a positive energy, and a clean NZ driver’s licence.

• Previous experience in planning and coordinating activities
• Great people skills with empathy for the elderly

• The flexibility to work over the weekends

Responsibilities

• Working closely with our Diversional Therapist to create and implement fun and varied activities programmes for our residents
• Understanding residents’ needs and abilities and encouraging them to take part in activities
• Following our company policies and procedures to create a safe environment for our residents
