Metlifecare Whangarei Park Village in Whangarei, Northland, seeks an experienced Activities Coordinator to support residents with planned activities that promote active living and wellbeing. This full-time role runs 32 hours over four days, 8am–4:30pm, with regular Friday and Sunday shifts.

You will lead an innovative activities program, help residents participate in organised activities, and foster a therapeutic environment while ensuring health and safety.

Qualificações

• Experience in aged care or caregiver role preferred.

Full time role at Whangarei Park Village, in Whangarei, Northland

We are seeking an experienced Activities Coordinator to support our residents with their planned activities to maintain active lives and support their wellbeing, at our lovely Care Home Whangarei Park Village.

This role is a full time permanent role working 32 hours a week over 4 days from 8am to 4.30 pm- Any two days of the week plus Friday and Sunday being regular shifts.

You will assist our residents to enjoy meaningful leisure activities along with the following:

• Planning and implementing an innovative activities program
• Assisting our residents to participate in organized activities
• Establish and maintain a therapeutic environment
• Ensure the health and safety of our residents

About you

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, creative, outgoing and can think outside the box. You will have a genuine love for the elderly and want to make a difference. Ideally you will have experience as an Activities Coordinator in Aged Care, however this role would suit an experienced Caregiver looking to broaden their skill set with a passion for ensuring our residents are enjoying a therapeutic environment and experiencing the activities on offer.

Ideally you will have the following:

• Careerforce or equivalent Health Care qualification
• Current First Aid Certificate, preferred but can be trained
• Previous experience in aged care and a desire to learn and develop your skill set
• Empathy, kindness and a love for making an impact on our residents' lives
