Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer for our Water team in New Zealand. You will lead and execute structural design for transportation and water-related infrastructure, guiding projects from concept to construction and mentoring junior engineers.

Travel in the South Island is possible, and a CPEng Chartered status with 10+ years in consulting is expected. Based in Dunedin or Christchurch, you’ll collaborate across Asia Pacific, delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions while

Qualifications

CPEng Chartered structural engineer
10+ years’ professional experience in the consulting industry
Experience in water and/or transportation infrastructure projects

Responsibilities

Plan, manage and deliver detailed structural designs across transportation and water infrastructure projects
Provide technical leadership across the Structural Discipline
Lead design and construct project delivery methods
Prepare technical reports, structural assessments, inspections, risk assessments and asset management plans
Provide construction supervision support as required
Collaborate with project teams and managers to ensure timely, cost-efficient delivery
Mentor and develop junior team members
