Job summary

Radius Matamata is seeking a Cook to lead the kitchen and deliver meals to residents at our residential care facility. You will ensure nutritious, well-presented meals, meet special orders, monitor temperatures and oversee portions.

Working 30 hours per week on a rotating roster, you will support infection control and maintain high cleanliness standards; previous leadership experience is a plus. Radius Care offers staff discounts and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in the same role preferred.
• Excellent organisational skills and reliability.
• Personable, with a positive attitude and excellent people skills.
• Experience leading a team preferred, but not essential.

Hours of work

30 hours per week, over a rotating roster

About the role

Lead the kitchen and deliver our meals programme to residents of our residential care facility. Provide nutritious, well-presented meals. Ensure correct food is supplied against special orders. Monitor food temperature and oversee portion control.

Duties include

• Ensure all infection control policies and procedures are followed
• Deal efficiently with telephone calls
• Maintain appropriate quality standards
• Refer maintenance requests to the catering manager
• Ensure storage areas are kept clean
