Job summary

Radius Care in New Zealand is seeking a Kitchen Assistant - Part Time (Weekends). You will assist with meal service, support the kitchen team, and help provide nutritious, well-presented meals to residents, while maintaining a hygienic work environment.

No visa sponsorship is offered; applicants should have weekend availability and be reliable with good organizational and people skills. Training and development, plus weekend shift allowances, are provided.

• Appropriate industry experience preferred, but not required.
• Organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure utensils and equipment are clean, stored safely and correctly.

Hours of work

15 hours per week, working weekend shifts

Note: Radius Care cannot support work visas/visa changes for this role. Visa-holders must have a current visa with open work rights and preferably at least 6 months left until expiry.

About the role

Gain valuable experience working closely with our kitchen team. Assist with the meal service and providing nutritious, well-presented meals to our residents. Aid the kitchen team to provide a hygienic work environment. Assume responsibility for cleaning food prep equipment and utensils. Report any faulty equipment to the Cook.

Duties include

• Ensuring utensils and equipment are clean, and stored safely and correctly
• General kitchen duties, including dishwashing
• Maintaining infection control principles
• Handling, labelling, and storing chemicals correctly
• Meeting timetables
