Job summary

Datacom in New Zealand is seeking an experienced Senior Workday Consultant to join on an initial six-month contract engagement. You will lead Workday HCM workstreams across client implementations, gathering requirements and translating them into Workday configurations.

You will facilitate workshops, design and configure solutions, and provide knowledge transfer and user training. This role requires strong client-facing consulting experience and Workday certifications or equivalent experience in

Qualifications

• Requires strong Workday implementation experience in a client-facing consulting environment.
• Certified in Workday HCM Core and Compensation.
• Experience leading Workday HCM implementations and workstreams.
• Strong requirements gathering, solution design and configuration experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Time Tracking or Absence is advantageous.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Workday Consultant to join us on an initial 6-month contract engagement.

You'll work across high-profile customer projects, acting as the key link between business stakeholders and implementation teams. You'll lead Workday HCM workstreams from requirements and solution design through configuration, testing, knowledge transfer, and user training.

This is a client-facing consulting role suited to an experienced Workday specialist who can confidently lead workshops, understand complex business requirements, and translate them into effective Workday solutions.

What You'll Do

• Lead Workday HCM workstreams across customer implementations.
• Facilitate client workshops and gather and analyse business requirements.
• Design and configure Workday solutions aligned to customer needs.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and implementation teams throughout delivery.

What You'll Bring

• Strong Workday implementation experience in a client-facing consulting environment.
• Workday Implementation/PRO certification in HCM Core and Compensation.
• Demonstrated experience leading Workday HCM implementations and workstreams.
• Strong requirements gathering, solution design, and configuration experience.
• Confidence facilitating workshops and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong communication, consulting, and problem-solving skills.
• Workday certification or experience in Time Tracking and/or Absence would be highly regarded.
• Additional Workday certifications will be advantageous.
