Job summary

Mercury NZ in Tauranga is seeking a Salesforce Marketing Cloud specialist to join our Customer Platform Team on a fixed-term basis for parental leave.

This hands-on role focuses on building and optimising customer journeys across multiple channels, using AMPscript and large data sources to deliver personalised communications. You’ll work with colleagues to ensure scalable, reliable campaigns while enjoying flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience.
• Proven ability to build multi-channel journeys and automation
• Strong AMPscript skills with experience building complex communications from multiple large data sources
• Self-starter who can run with things independently while still being a great team player
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical people
• Collaborative attitude and team-first mindset
• Good time management and focus on continuous improvement
• Business degree preferred, not mandatory

Responsibilities

• Build and optimise automated journeys across channels using Salesforce Marketing Cloud
• Develop personalised communications using AMPscript from multiple large internal and external data sources
• Collaborate with Customer Platform Team to identify opportunities and maintain platform documentation
• Understand stakeholder needs to ensure practical solutions that actually work for users
• Identify ways to improve and streamline journey performance
• Provide support, coaching, and troubleshooting for end users to maximise platform usage
• Identify and resolve technical and functional issues as they arise
• Participate in peer reviews, build checks, and functional testing
