Job summary

East Tamaki Rubani Holdings Limited is seeking a Class 5 Truck Driver to join our container and freight operations in Auckland. You will collect and deliver containers between port, depot and customer sites, and operate swinglift equipment safely.

We require at least two years in transport or logistics, a current NZ Class 5 license (or eligible for upgrade), and a dangerous goods endorsement or the ability to obtain one before starting.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in transport, freight, logistics or warehouse operations.
• Valid NZ Class 5 driver licence (or Class 4 with ability to obtain Class 5 before starting).
• Dangerous goods (D) endorsement, or ability to obtain before starting.
• Good understanding of NZ road rules, heavy vehicle safety, load restraint, vehicle checks, fatigue and work-time/rest-time rules.
• Ability to organise allocated work, follow freight instructions, check documents and maintain records.
• Reliable, punctual with early starts and floating shifts Mon-Sat; travel to Auckland base and locations.
• Physical ability to assist with loading, unloading, securing and handling goods.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver containers and freight between port, depot and customer sites.
• Operate swinglift safely to load and unload containers.
• Complete vehicle checks, secure loads, and report defects, incidents and hazards.
• Transport dangerous goods as required.
• Coordinate collections and deliveries and keep customers informed of arrivals and delays.
• Check freight documents and pass job records to accounts for invoicing.
