Job summary

East Tamaki Rubani Holdings Limited is hiring a permanent, full-time Class 5 truck driver for container and freight operations in Auckland and the Upper North Island. The role includes swinglift loading/unloading, container movements, and coordination with ports, depots, and customers.

Applicants should have at least two years of transport experience, a NZ Class 5 licence (or Class 4 with a plan to upgrade), and a DG endorsement or the ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in transport, freight, or logistics required.
• Valid NZ Class 5 truck licence or Class 4 with ability to obtain Class 5.
• Dangerous goods endorsement or ability to obtain before starting.
• Good understanding of NZ road rules, safety, load restraint, and fatigue management.
• Ability to organise work, follow freight instructions, and communicate professionally.

Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver containers and freight between port, depot and customer sites; driving is the main duty.
• Operate swinglift equipment safely to load/unload containers.
• Complete vehicle checks, secure loads, and report defects or hazards.
• Transport dangerous goods as required, with proper handling and documentation.
• Coordinate collection/delivery and keep customers informed of arrivals and delays.
• Record run sheets, proof of delivery, and pass records for invoicing.
