Job summary

Canstaff is seeking Concrete Form Workers and Steel Tiers for upcoming civil construction projects across the Otago region, New Zealand. This role involves hands-on, physical work with formwork, steel tying and general site support on major infrastructure jobs.

The ideal candidate will be willing to work hard, follow safety rules, and apply themselves to varied labour tasks. Civil operators with experience are welcome to apply, with opportunities for overtime and longer hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in formwork, concrete, or steel tying is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.

About the Role

• Setting up and stripping concrete formwork


• Tying steel and preparing reinforcing for pours


• Assisting with civil concrete structures and foundations

• Operating basic civil plant if experienced (civil operators also needed)

We're Looking For

• People who aren't scared of hard work


• Experience in formwork, concrete, or steel tying (preferred but not essential)


• Ability to follow instructions and work safely


• Reliable, punctual, and ready to put in the effort
