Job summary

Tradestaff in Ōtara, Auckland is seeking an Experienced Steel Fixer to read reinforcing plans, position and tie reinforcing steel, and install bars and mesh on busy civil sites.

You will work from drawings, prepare reinforcement for concrete pours, and maintain quality workmanship while upholding safety on site. Weekly pay and a range of civil projects enhance this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Proven steel fixing experience within civil construction.
• Confident reading and interpreting reinforcing drawings.
• Ability to install reinforcing bars, mesh and related steelwork.
• Strong understanding of on-site health and safety requirements.
• Physically capable of hands-on site work.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting reinforcing plans and drawings
• Positioning and tying reinforcing steel to specification
• Installing reinforcing bars, mesh and associated steelwork
• Cutting and bending reinforcing steel as required
• Preparing reinforcement ready for concrete pours
• Checking reinforcing placement and maintaining quality workmanship
• Working safely and efficiently alongside the wider site team

With $32–$35 per hour, weekly pay and a variety of projects, this is a great opportunity for Steel Fixers who know their reinforcing and can confidently deliver quality work from the plans through to the pour.

Location: Ōtara, Auckland
Start date: ASAP
Pay rate: $32–$35 per hour, depending on experience, with weekly pay
