Job summary

Canstaff in Otago is seeking a hands-on construction worker to join a skilled team delivering concrete formwork, timber/steel pole walls, rebar installations and other civil works on challenging projects.

The role is outdoors and physically demanding, requires attention to detail and teamwork, and offers full-time ongoing work with weekly wages, a company vehicle, holiday pay and ACC coverage, and opportunities for training and career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in concrete formwork/boxing for foundations and walls.
• Experience with timber/steel pole wall construction.
• Experience with rebar installation.
• Experience in construction of civil structures.
• Excavator operation experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform outdoor construction tasks on challenging projects.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain high workmanship quality.
• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve project goals.

Job description

• Experience operating an excavator would be beneficial but not a necessity
