Job summary

Bupa is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join a busy kitchen team at the Auckland Sunset Care Home. You will help with food prep, cleaning and general kitchen tasks while upholding hygiene, safety and confidentiality standards.

This casual role offers no guaranteed hours, with training provided. If you are reliable, empathetic and able to work rotating weekends, we’d love to hear from you and discuss flexibility and transport needs.

Qualifications

• Preferably 1 year experience in a similar kitchen role.
• Proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed.
• Empathetic, enthusiastic and passionate about resident wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation.
• Undertake general kitchen duties (dishwashing and cleaning).
• Adhere to hygiene and food safety standards.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Follow Health and Safety procedures.
