Job summary

Qjumpers is seeking Homecare Support Workers for Hastings & Napier in Hawke’s Bay. The role involves providing supervised personal cares, home management welfare checks and medication supervision to clients.

Most shifts occur 8am-11am and 4pm-6pm, with work available 10-20 hours per week and occasional weekend cover. You must have a current First Aid certificate (ideally) and a Level 2–4 Health and Wellbeing certificate.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid Certificate preferred.
• Health and Wellbeing Certificate Level 2–4 preferred.
• L2 qualification may be gained during induction.
• Full valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
• Excellent reliability and work ethic.
• Understanding of Tikanga and Te Reo Māori or willingness to learn.
• Enthusiasm, energy, initiative and flexibility.
• Whakawhānaungatanga – able to connect with whānau.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervised personal cares, home management welfare checks and medication supervision.
• Travel between clients using own vehicle.
• Maintain reliable and flexible schedule, including weekend coverage when required.
