Job summary

HealthCare NZ in Napier is seeking compassionate casual support workers to join our in-home and community-based care teams. As a Support Worker, you will help clients achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives through practical and emotional support in Greenmeadows, Taradale, Marewa, Onekawa, Napier South and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities include meal preparation, community outings, medication support, personal care, bowel care, manual handling and hoist transfers.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and genuine desire to help others.
• Healthcare or caregiving experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to be flexible for alternate weekends.
• NZ driver’s licence with reliable transport preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation.
• Community outings and integration.
• Medication support.
• Personal care (showering, toileting, etc.).
• Bowel care, manual handling, and hoist transfers.
