Job summary

Access Community Health seeks skilled Support Workers to assist clients with daily living in their homes, including palliative, dementia, and disability care. You will provide person-centered support, respecting culture, beliefs and routines, while using mobile data plan and safety protocols.

We offer practical and online training during onboarding, with year-round refreshers and clear development pathways to grow within the Kaiāwhina | Support Worker roles.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification or have equivalent, relevant experience
• Spinal injury experience
• Experienced in the use of a full, standing and two-person hoist
• Experience administering prescribed medication
• Love working with people and helping them thrive
• Be willing to learn, reflect, and adapt your approach to what matters for each person
• Have experience in caregiving, disability support, aged care, community work, or other people-facing roles
• Committed to culturally safe, respectful support for people from all backgrounds
• Intuitive and responsive to people’s needs
• Own a smartphone
• Have the right to work in New Zealand
• Full/restricted driver’s license
• Van driving experience
