Job summary

Access Community Health is seeking support workers to assist clients in their own homes, providing compassionate, person-centered care. This role values cultural safety and adapting to each person’s routines and preferences.

You’ll receive comprehensive training, flexible hours, and opportunities to travel to nearby communities. Weekend shifts pay a small uplift, with travel time and mileage reimbursed. A smartphone and valid NZ work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• No qualifications or prior experience required.
• Willing to travel to Levin, Foxton and Palmerston North.
• Own a smartphone.
• Have the right to work in New Zealand.
• Full/restricted driver’s license.
• Able to start at 7am.
• Open to bowel care duties.

Responsibilities

• Support tāngata with their individual care needs and daily living activities in clients' homes.
• Provide safe, respectful, person-centered support.
• Be mindful of clients' culture, routines, values and boundaries.
